Rubbing plates are sets of black plastic textured material that can be used to transfer designs to fabric. I love these rubbing plates and have since ordered several more patterns. They are sturdy enough to allow consistent pattern even with slight variations in pressure. The Leaves series are just beautiful. I found that pastels, crayons, and even soft lead worked really well with the Cedar Canyon plates. I highly recommend them.
