Product Description Winsor & Newton's Cotman Sketchers' Pocket Box...Cotman Watercolors have been specially developed for the watercolourist who requires quality transparent watercolors at an economical price. Cotman watercolors possess good transparency with excellent tinting strength and working properties. Winsor & Newton keeps the price affordable by replacing some of the more costly pigments with less expensive alternatives. This popular pocket sized plastic box features an integral mixing palette in the lid and contains 12 assorted Cotman Watercolor half pans and a popular Sceptre gold collapsible pocket brush. Makes a great Holiday set.

| Customer Reviews: Great for doodling! August 10, 2010 Marilyn Scott-Waters (Lovely Suburban Costa Mesa, CA) I bought this little pocket sized watercolor set to use for casual sketching out of doors and doing quick color studies. It's small and compact. I recommend using a Pentel Arts Aquash Water Brush for convenience.
The colors are bright if you add enough water.
A great, little beginner set at a reasonable price. It would make a lovely present for a young artist.
pleasantly surprized March 13, 2010 Michelle L. Cast (Binghamton, NY USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am quite surprized by the size, yet pleasantly pleased... the colors are unique for landscapes which I intend to use this pocket box for... thank you!
A basic kit to get you started September 1, 2009 E. Merriman (Greenbrae, CA) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
I really like the way this kit is set up, very compact and small with just the right set of colors, except the white, which no real watercolor artist uses. I suggest it for my beginners. However, the paints are student quality and can be frustrating with their lack of pigment. As my students grown in their skill, I suggest the substitute they artist quality Winsor Newton paints for the Cotman paints in their box. I have used this set up for years when I want to travel light. I do not use the brush and use a waterbrush instead, which is very handy.
How could they not tell you how small it was? August 12, 2010 annette oswald, jhawks@wctatel.net (Joice, Iowa United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I could not believe how small it was. It was miniscule! Not just small. They should have put the dimensions in the description.
